Earning Points

  • Member Status

    These are points earned just by being involved in our club and participating.
    (1pt) Each time you visit our site.
    (50pts per month) Active Members
    (200 pts) New Member Recruitment.
    (125 points) Officer Positions.
    (1pt per $ earned towards the club funds) Order Form Fundraisers.

  • Sign-In Sheet

    These are points earned when you need to sign in and out for fundraisers or activities.
    (25pts per hr) Working Activity Table at fundraisers.
    (25pts per hr) Car Wash. 25 points per hour.
    (40pts per hr) Working Concession on Fridays, Saturdays and at Anime Screenings.
    (40pts) Bring a guest to an RAC function (Screenings & Fundraisers).
    (25pts) Attending meetings.
    (25pts) Wearing any Anime apparel to activities (Screenings & Fundraisers).

  • Submissions

    These are points earned by entering art work or poetry into the newsletter or surveys and posts on the website. Points are given for entries printed in the newsletter and first comment/post on the site.
    (50pts) Fan Art or Poem.
    (50pts) Art for merchandise. Accepted images only.
    (25-50pts) Surveys.
    (25-50pts) Anime Reviews. (site blog/news channel)
    (25pts per hr) Volunteer work..

  • Awards

    The member of the month award goes to the most qualified member that meet minimum requirements for that month.
    (100pts) Member of the month award.
    (10pts) Gift Card Giveaway.
    (10pts) Anime Give Away.

  • Community

    We like to be involved in the community helping out. We also would like support from clubs and businesses already established in Merced County. So we give points to those that help the club by getting others to help us and to those that help in the community.
    (10pts per $25) Club Sponsorship.
    (10pts per $25) Business Sponsorship.

  • Bonuses

    These are points awarded in recognition of participation in other than service areas. The following are provided only as examples and do not reflect other options considered by RAC. Items must be accepted into the library for points to be received.
    (150pts) Purchasing RAC apparel at cash value.
    (50pts) Wearing RAC apparel to events.
    (25pts) Donating Anime DVD, Manga, Soundtracks to the library.
    (15pts) Donating Imported Anime DVD, Soundtracks to the library.
    (25pts per $) Donating money to RAC.
    (Varies) Additional points are at times awarded for exemplary participation in an event. (i.e. staying for the entire time slot when decorating.) Varies.
    (200pts) Reaching 1000 points in 30 days.
    (15-30pts) Attending Trips/Conventions as part of the club.

Redeeming Points

A list of items available to be redeemed are RACS merchandise, anime dvds, anime t-shirts, anime merchandise, etc. 

Here’s how it works:

  1. You can use your points to purchase items for free.
  2. Or you can use your points to get  the discount from the store.

When you use option 2, we first deduct the store discount percentage for that item from the points it would cost for you to get the item for free, then we deduct the store discount % from the purchase price of that item. You pay the remainder of the purchase price after the store discount % along with whatever the % of points for that item. See Examples below.

Example 1: 

Anime DVD – Cost: $19.95, Points to redeem DVD (600),
Store discount 25%,
25% of 600 = 150points. 25% of $19.95 = $4.99
$19.95 – $4.99 = $14.96 + 25% points
So you pay $14.96 & 150pts. 

 

Example 2: 

Messenger Bag – Cost: $27.99, Points to redeem Bag (700),
Store discount 25%,
25% of 700 = 175points. 25% of $27.99 = $7.00
$27.99 – $7.00 = $20.99 + 25% points
So you pay $20.99 & 175pts.
